The moment I was introduced to FoodCircles I knew I had to be a part of this organization.
The idea and the people behind it are truly remarkable and I am honored to introduce myself, Lisa, as one of the new bloggers for FoodCircles. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2011 with a degree in PR. With my degree I hope to make a difference, working with non-profit organizations and hopefully contributing to making the world a better place. A few of my hobbies include reading, napping, yoga, scrap-booking, backpacking and spending time with my adorable niece, Natalie. After college, I, like so many others had to move back home into my mother’s basement, yes, you heard me, I live in my mothers basement. Luckily, I have an amazing mother who has supported me throughout school and my search for employment. Without her, I would have never made it to where I am today, and I am eternally grateful to her. Although I do not reside in GR, I find myself visiting as often as I can. GR is truly an amazing city. Recently, my computer has crashed and I have been sneaking in as much computer time as I can at my sisters and I am having withdrawals!! Before I had to put my computer to rest, I lived on it, morning, noon and night you could find me with my Macbook on my lap. In a way, this has been a freeing experience from technology. I actually find time to read and scrap-book, I now have a library card! Even though I am counting down the days until I can buy a new computer, I am enjoying the, hopefully short, break. Well, enough about me for now. I am looking forward to beginning this new journey with FoodCircles. I am so thankful to be apart of the FoodCircles family and cannot wait to watch the organization grow and change the lives of many by flipping the way we eat!
